SDD18: Active and Collaborative Learning for Student Success

Hours: 1.3

A Faculty Teacher and a teacher–collaborator will demonstrate how students can improve their learning of class materials such as lecture, homework, labs, etc. by observing and mimicking different teaching and learning strategies that are crucial for student success in their classroom.

Learn different strategies for students and teachers in order to help students be successful.

Faculty Teacher @ Electronics & Advanced Technologies Department: Rosa Carrasco MSE from Stanford University, BSEE from UT El Paso. Work Experience- Over 25 years in the Semiconductor Industry as a Physical Designer (IBM, Motorola, AMD, Rockwell, Freescale and Candence Design Systems, ACC).
Adjunct Teacher @ Electronics & Advanced Technologies Department: Rosalba Schramm MBA from University of Phoenix, BSEE from UT El Paso, Certified Teacher for CTE and ESOL. Work Experience: Over 20 years in the Semicondustor Industry as an electronic technician and engineer ( Zenith, Rockwell, Applied Materials, Emit Inc, Wesco Distribution, Pflugerville ISD).
