A Buffet of Fundamental Truths about Learning -- A Conversation

Hours: 2

This is your opportunity to explore the art of teaching with our visiting scholar, Dr. James Rhem. In this session, Dr. Rhem will engage faculty in a conversation about some fundamental truths about teaching. He’ll provide you with a menu of possible truths to discuss, and you’ll select the final buffet of discussion topics. Dr. Rhem will then guide you through an interactive discussion about what matters most to creating effective teaching experiences.

RRC/SAC: Please plan to bring your own lunch to provide fuel for you in this unique and collaborative brown-bag session with our expert-in-residence.

RGC: Please plan to bring your own munchies to provide fuel for you in this unique and collaborative snack session with our expert-in-residence.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email them to FCTL@austincc.edu

Dr. James Rhem is a nationally recognized expert on teaching and learning. He has created several publications on teaching including the Teaching Professor newsletter and also the National Teaching and Learning FORUM where he serves as Executive Editor.
