SSD20: Journals Not Your Thing? Try Voice Thread Instead!
Hours: 1
If you are looking for a way to engage your online students and discussion boards and journals aren't really your thing, then consider using Voice Thread instead! Voice Thread is an easy to use and interactive tool that you can use to engage students. Interaction can be student to student, student to instructor, instructor to student, or even instructor to group. This workshop will illustrate the basics of how to use Voice Thread. I will also provide an actual example of how I used Voice Thread to engage my students in a group activity through the use of a case study.
A participant walks away with:- Create a simple Voice Thread assignment in Blackboard.
- Formulate a strategy for grading Voice Threads and providing meaningful
interactive feedback between the student and the instructor.
