SSD20: Building an Adobe House: Using PDF Forms for Assessment

Hours: 1

This session will present how to use the Form functions in Adobe Acrobat to turn your written exams and exercises into fillable pdf forms that students can submit. Participants will also learn about Kami, a free application that allows freehand drawing on PDFs.

A participant walks away with:
  • Be able to use the various Form functions in Adobe Acrobat to create fillable PDF forms
  • Be able to download, install, and use the Kami application to draw and otherwise write on PDF files.
Presenter:

Ron Johns is the Associate Dean of Assessment & Evaluation here at ACC. He leads the Academic Outcomes Assessment office, supporting the alignment and assessment of general education and student learning outcomes across the more than 250 award programs offered. He chairs the Assessment Task Force and oversees the College’s Core Curriculum and master syllabi repository. He is an adjunct professor of geology, and has served as department chair of both the Physical Sciences and General Studies departments.
