SSD20: Accessibility Checking for PDF documents

Hours: 1

This will be a 60-minute workshop that will cover creating accessible PDF documents for your courses. We will cover checking for titles, tables, headings, alternate text image descriptions, and reading order.

A participant walks away with:
  • The ability to create and modify documents that are accessible for their students.


Presenter:

Kathleen Serra, M.A., Corporate Communication and Technology: Kathleen has been an Instructional Designer and College Professor in the disciplines of Art History and Communications for over 20 years. She has taught face to face and online courses and enjoys researching and presenting on the topics of Culturally Responsive Teaching and Hybrid Courses. Most recently, she has presented at the following conferences: Culturally Responsive Teaching conference in Baltimore, MD, the Northwest eLearning conference in Portland Oregon and FETC (Florida Educational Technology Conference). Kathleen is a Quality Matters F2F and Online certified Facilitator and a certified VoiceThread educator.
