SDD19: How to Use Blackboard Ally
Hours: 2.83
Participants will be among the very first faculty to learn about the new revolutionary accessibility solution, called Blackboard Ally: learn why it will be a game changer to so many of our students, what it can do, when it will be available in your BlackBoard courses.
Your classes are full of diverse students with unique learning abilities. Providing them with more accessible original content means the ability to choose formats that work best for them: HTML for improved reading on mobile phones, Audio for learning on the go, the new EPUB format, PDFs with taggs for accessibility and even Electronic Braille for embossing hard copy or reading on braille devices. We will discuss how ALLY will anylize uploaded content and AUTOMATICALLY generate all of these ACCESSIBLE alternatives making them INSTANTLY available to students.
Presented by a diverse multidepartment team representing the ACC Libraries, Special Populations, Instructional Design and Information Technology's LMS Services.
