Hours: 1.33

Can we make learning as engaging and addictive as a good game? Jeff Johannigman, former computer game designer, will share techniques of professional game design and ways to apply them to both online and classroom learning.

We will cover:
• Working definitions of “fun” and “games”
• The best approach to getting started in game design
• The essential ingredients for creating an engaging, addictive game

A participant in this workshop will walk away with new ideas and techniques to make learning more engaging, interactive, and effective.

Jeff Johannigman brings extensive experience from the high-tech, non-profit, and government sectors to his role as Faculty Development Coordinator at Austin Community College.
