SDD19: Students Speak: ACC Survey Data

Hours: 1.33

ACC conducts three major surveys to measure student engagement and satisfaction: Community College Survey of Student Engagement, Survey of Entering Student Engagement and the Ruffalo Noel Levitz Satisfaction Survey. These surveys are a treasure trove of data. The workshop will provide an overview of the three surveys with the latest ACC results followed by a discussion on how best to use this data to improve student engagement and satisfaction.

A participant in this workshop will walk away with an increased understanding of the survey data available and how best to use this data to increase student success.

Dr. Griffiths holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University and a MA from Radford University and has published in the Journal of Occupational Psychology as well as the Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology, and presented several recent research studies at the Texas Association for Institutional Research. Dr. Griffiths’s present research interests include survey design, student engagement, psychosocial factors contributing to student success, self-regulation, and effective teaching practices.
