SDD19: Using Digital Story Telling in the Classroom

Hours: 1.33

Digital story telling is a powerful tool to engage students in course material. The results of a digital story telling project in Introduction to Psychology will be presented along with resources to help faculty incorporate digital story telling in their courses.

A participant in this workshop will walk away with strategies to incorporate digital story telling in their classrooms.

Dr. Griffiths holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University and a MA from Radford University and has published in the Journal of Occupational Psychology as well as the Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology, and presented several recent research studies at the Texas Association for Institutional Research. Dr. Griffiths’s present research interests include survey design, student engagement, and psychosocial factors contributing to student success, self-regulation, and effective teaching practices
