SDD19: LGBTQ Awareness Training

Shane Whalley, LMSW, is a social justice educator and consultant that will facilitate a workshop on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) identities, social justice frameworks and cultural humility. Ze does hir work by telling stories and using humor while also speaking hir truth. Shane received hir’s Master’s degree in Social Work at UT. Shane was previously the Education Coordinator for the Gender and Sexuality Center at UT and worked as a psychotherapist in several non-profits in Austin.
