Workshop & Event Registration v2.0

This workshop will give you alternative ideas for engaging activities for English 1302 including a jigsaw activity for the elements of fiction, student-led discussion, Gallery Walk, and a Scavenger Hunt Style.

Participants will walk away with new ideas to enliven English 1302 or other classes, an understanding of active and engaged strategies and their benefits, and possibly their own new creative idea for the classroom.

Mendy Holliday is an adjunct professor in English and Student Development who has always been drawn to studying and trying out active and engaged learning ideas in the classroom. She has more than 10 years experience and was also part of the first group of Faculty Fellows who led the Faculty workshops on active learning this past summer.
