Workshop & Event Registration v2.0

The mentoring component is crucial in helping students begin to form a “network” of supportive individuals who will help them through their first year of college. Many "Dream catchers" are the first in their families to attend college and meet with a professional from the community who have gone through the same process and is a helpful guide. Mentors also serve as a valuable “voice” that is often able to help students see the “bigger picture” when they are struggling the most. In this workshop, mentors will learn how to be good mentors, what are their limitations, and how they can guide students to be better prepared to transfer to four-year universities and return to the community as mentors and leaders for future generations.
