Aunt Bertha is a web-based social services search platform for helping to connect low-income individuals with free or highly subsidized community resources like housing, transportation, and medical assistance.

Housing and food insecurity, and a lack of reliable transportation are correlated with bad outcomes in numerous domains, including health care, criminal justice, and child welfare. In the educational domain, they are correlated with increased absenteeism and lower completion.

We recently started working with another community college district here in Texas. By using Aunt Bertha, they hope to improve their students' completion rates by helping them to access community resources that might create more stable and secure personal situations.
