What are culturally responsive teaching practices?
How can they support the development of your learning community?
How can you integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into your daily curriculum?
We will learn how emphasizing culture will help you build an active learning community and use the CLEAR model as a guide for developing culturally responsive and equitable lesson plans. Recommended for Student Development faculty.

Learning Objective 1: Participants will understand common terms associated with culturally responsive teaching practices.
Learning Objective 2: Participants will engage in culturally responsive teaching activities to integrate into their courses.
Learning Objective 3: Participants will learn the principles of the CLEAR model and apply this to their curriculum.
An example from the EDUC 1300 lesson on cultural diversity will be used.
