Advising the Advisor on the Architectural and Engineering CAD program

This workshop will cover how to advise students interested in the Architectural and Engineering CAD field and includes a hands-on CAD activity.

Douglas Smith is the A&E CAD Department Chair as well as Director of ACC's AutoCAD Training Center. Prior to joining the faculty at ACC, Mr. Smith worked for the City of Amarillo, Austin Research Engineers, Widelite, Tracor and Texas State Technical College (Amarillo). In 1989, Doug Smith and Tony Ramirez co-founded the Authorized AutoDesk (CAD) Training Center at ACC. Mr. Smith holds a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelors degree from Texas State University and an Associates degree from Texas State Technical College.

Ashleigh Fuller is the manager of ACC's Premier Autodesk Training Center She holds an A.A.S. degree in 2001 with a concentration in Architecture from A & E CAD; University of Texas and received a B.A. degree in Art History with a specialization in Pre-Conquest Mesoamerican Art in 2005. She teaches DFTG 1405 and DFTG 2419 and is fluent in sign-language.
