Workshop & Event Registration v2.0

Objective: To continue training ACC faculty, staff and students to be ALLY's for the colleges LGBTQ community.

Post marriage equality, there is still a strong need for people to be allies with the LGBTQ communities. In this workshop we will discuss some of the challenges facing students and have conversation about the actions people can take to be allies.

Shane Whalley was the Education Coordinator at The University of Texas at Austin, Gender and Sexuality Center. Shane developed and delivered workshops to students, faculty and staff on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, social justice, and sexism. Shane is also an experienced lecturer in social work and was a psychotherapist at Waterloo Counseling Center.
