SDD16: Writing Effective Strategic Planning Objectives

Objective: Upon completion of this session the attendee will be able to write a clear, concise, and measurable strategic planning objective.
There is often much confusion between goals and objectives. Whereas as a goal is a description of a destination, an objective is a measure of the progress that is needed to get to the destination. Upon completion of this session the attendee will be able to write a clear, concise, and measurable strategic planning objective.
Dr. Joann Kroll possesses twenty + years of leadership experience within Postsecondary Higher Education - specifically in the areas of accreditation and strategic planning. As a specialist in national, regional, and state regulatory accrediting approval processes she has worked extensively with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Commission on Colleges’ (SACS), The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools’ policies and criteria, and the United States Department of Education.
