In Chair Yoga, a chair is used to support standing poses, and stabilize seated poses. Forward bends, side bends, twists, balances, and even backbends can be safely done in a chair, at your desk. Its a great way to energize your body and mind, throughout your day. Chair yoga is suitable for all ages, fitness levels and physical conditions.
Kate Cleary is a movement educator with over 300 hours training as a yoga teacher. Her holistic approach makes yoga accessible to any student, at any level, from beginner to advanced. Kate's teaching is informed and inspired by her studies in expressive arts therapies, guided imagery and meditation. With over 35 years of teaching experience, Kate's aim is to enthuse and support her students. She teaches yoga to faculty and staff through The Wellness Program at ACC, and to children through The Community Yoga Program in Austin. |
