SDD15: Accessibility and Usability Tips for the Online Instructor

This workshop covers the basic definitions of accessibility and usability and how we can use those concepts to make our online Blackboard courses and faculty websites more accessible for all of our students.

Following these steps will also help us and our students to access our Blackboard courses and websites with the convenience of our smartphones and other mobile devices.

Michelle Escudier is an instructional design specialist for Instructional Development here at ACC. She has been in the instructional technology and design field for over twelve years with strong experience in distance education as an instructional designer. Michelle has developed many online and offline (multimedia) courses, working collaboratively with faculty at Central Texas College. She has extensive experience in developing and delivering training for online faculty in the use of Blackboard and other related technologies. She also has taught distance education courses for more then eight years.
