SDD15: Faculty Pay and All That Jazz!

Learn all about faculty pay, both full-time and adjunct, and

* How pay is determined for new hires;
* How changes in education affects pay; and
* How pay increases after hire.

Great program for deans, department chairs, direct faculty support staff, and, of course, faculty members.

Dana Tucker, Interim Compensation Manager, and Kathy Gromoll, Senior Compensation Analyst, will present this workshop.

Dana Tucker, CCP, SPHR, PCM is Interim Compensation Manager at Austin Community College. She has worked in the HR Compensation Section at ACC for over 9 years and holds certifications in human resources, compensation and career management. Prior to joining ACC, Dana was the owner of an association management company specializing in managing non-profit associations. She currently serves on the Board of the Central Texas Compensation and Benefits Association. Dana has a BBA in Business Education from the University of Texas and recently received her Master of Science degree in Management & Leadership from Tarleton State University.

Kathy D. Gromoll, CCP, CEBS, SPHR, is Senior Compensation Analyst for Austin Community College. She also teaches at the University of Phoenix. Kathy served several years as a senior consultant and Vice President for a consulting firm in the Phoenix area and has worked in various human resource capacities both at the divisional and corporate level for a number of well-known companies. Her varied HR background includes compensation, benefits, affirmative action, employee relations, HRIS, employment, training, compliance, budget/strategic planning, acquistion/mergers, and expert witness work. Prior to joining the business world, she was a secondary school counselor where she did career testing and counseling and was also a secondary school math teacher. Kathy has an undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree from Youngstown State University.
