Getting AMPed: Introduction to Academic Master Planning at ACC
Hours: 1.5
| The Academic Master Plan (AMP), chartered in 2013, and implemented in Fall 2014, is a 3-year plan that serves as the basis for creating, coordinating, integrating and evaluating Austin Community College Districts future student success activities. It is the foundation upon which the college will increase its academic and student support offerings, combining assessment, planning, program review, and budgeting for academic affairs and all institutional departments.
This is a very informative professional development opportunity that provides the participant with information and resources related to all things AMP. Participants will receive an overview of the Academic Master Planning process, including its purpose, structure, subcomponents tools and timelines. Participants will become familiar with the online version of the AMP document and learn about the newly implemented Academic Master Plan Intensive Review process (formerly Instructional Program Review). Participants will gain knowledge of how the AMP, AMP Intensive Review, and Discipline Assessment Cycle all fit within the colleges institutional Strategic Planning process. |
