Faculty Video & Discussion Series: New Instructors

This Faculty Video & Discussion Series will comprise of four video segments, addressing how to help new instructors to effectively teach what they are experts on. After each video, the facilitator will lead a discussion about the content, your experiences, and ideas for related teaching strategies & practices. Presented by Linda Suskie, Assessment & Accreditation Consultant. Each video segment is described below.

What Are Five Tips for Writing Effective Learning Outcomes?-Learn to effectively articulate your pedagogical goals by developing a clear understanding of where you want your course to go and what your students will learn.

How Can I Create Meaningful Assignments for My Students? -Discover 16 research-based strategies to create meaningful assignments for your students.

How Can I Use Frequent Student Feedback to Improve My Courses? -Learn the five times in the semester when getting student feedback is valuable and the best ways to obtain that information.

How Can I Get Started With the Virtual Classroom? -This program walks you through the conceptual and practical process of establishing a new online course.
