Work-Life Series: Communicating in the Workplace
Hours: 2
This series deals with everyday work life situations. From dealing with children, to co-workers; every day we interact with multiple personalities, attitudes and behaviors. This series deals with individual views and how perceptions change interactions and behaviors. Communication is one of the most basic life skills that we are never formally taught in school. This seminar discusses communication in the context of building productive workplace relationships in order to gather, process, and transmit information. Workplace communication contains elements of assertiveness, diplomacy, and tact. Different strategies are explored for transmitting and receiving messages.
