Workshop & Event Registration v2.0

Presented by Bronté Miller from the Scale Institute. Bronté presents at premier education conferences (e.g., NADE, League for Innovation, AtD’s DREAM, AMATYC, and Virginia’s New Horizons) on pedagogy, cooperative learning, and developmental mathematics. This introductory session is designed to educate, inspire, and rejuvenate community college educators across the curriculum. Facilitators will share their experiences (good and bad) transitioning from traditional, lecture-based teaching to active cooperative learning. Participants will interact with the facilitators and each other to illustrate effective cooperative strategies and obtain valuable feedback on what they’ve been able to do thus far in their own classrooms.
