Vision, Values and Inclusion: Practical Attitudes, Practices and Behaviors for Current and Aspiring Community College Leaders

Hours: 2

How can faculty and staff leadership make a difference in the lives of students and the organizational culture? What is the difference between managing and leading? How can we empower each other as we embrace diversity and excellence? Participants will engage in dialogue about key attitudes, practices, and behaviors for leaders at all levels of a community college. A review of the American Association of Community Colleges' Competencies for Community College Leaders and advice from national community college administrators will be explored for practical day-to-day application. A self-assessment instrument and additional resources will be shared to help participants with lifelong learning about leadership and relationship-building.
