Medias Influence on Gender

Presented by Annette Saenz - Senior Training Specialist, SafePlace. This session will take a look into the various cultural messages that promote gender stereotyping and how medias societal messages portray men and women with positive and negative consequences. We will also discuss how these differing gender portrayals influence society, relationships and individuals. This will be done through an interactive analysis of different genres of songs, movies, television and other forms of media.
