GA11: The A, B, C’s of Working with Students with Disabilities in the Classroom

Hours: 1.5

This workshop will include an overview of disability services, including basic procedures for students and faculty to use to meet the new ADA of 2008 , as amended, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, requirements. Participants will have a chance to solve typical classroom issues using real-life scenarios and to ask questions regarding how to work in the classroom with students with disabilities.
