We are aware that all employees' Cybersecurity Awareness Training will expire 08/31/2021.

ALL mandatory training for new and current employees is suspended starting Monday, August 9, 2021 through November 1, 2021.
Employees will be able to resume training on Workday to fulfill compliance requirements after November 1, 2021.

More information will be sent to all staff and faculty soon.

Ferocious Alphabets

Follow the amazing time-line of the written alphabet (and eat snacks and earn professional development credit!) from Egyptian hieroglyphics (sacred writing) and Sumerian cuneiform (wedge writing) to modern Roman script (Harry Potter). We will take incredible side trips that changed the shape and character of our writing system as it slowly moved from Egypt to Phoenicia, to Greece and on to Rome (with excursions into Hebrew and Arabic). We will prove that all of these writing systems are related beyond the shadow of a doubt. Visuals/hands-on/and snacks provided!
