| The quarterly Advising Forum exists to enhance the decision making process through which students, aided by advisors, realize the maximum educational benefits available to them. On a daily basis, academic advisors assist students in setting academic goals, aid students in their educational decision-making, guide students in the exploration of academic majors, engage in discussion with students about their learning and development, and act as agents for referral to other campus resources.
This quarters forum will present topics that help advisors strengthen their practice while reflecting the mission of the forum. The topics of this professional development include: graduation and degree audit procedures, a presentation from the history department, an Early College Start review/training, and development of an intercampus cross training to help identify college-wide best practices. |
