SDD21: The Digital Wellness Paradigm: Three Methods for Managing Screen Fatigue in Virtual Learning Environments

“I simply can't stare at another screen all day!” Educators and students alike may find themselves experiencing exhaustion when faced with another semester of virtual learning. As the “new normal” of online distance education continues into 2021, cultivating digital wellness is essential for faculty, students, and administrators. In this interactive session, Natalie Bidnick Andreas will share three methods for managing “screen fatigue” throughout the school year. Drawing from her experience as a digital strategist in the corporate sector, including her recent role as Vice President of Content Development at Zen Media, Natalie will discuss current research and actionable tactics for thriving in a screen-filled world.

Presenter(s):

Natalie Bidnick Andreas is a strategic communications professional with more than thirteen years of digital strategy and content development experience. She has worked with more than 200 brands on enhancing their online presence and currently serves as the Vice President of Content Development at Zen Media. Natalie’s expertise has been featured on Forbes, Bloomberg Business, Fast Company, and PR Daily, among other publications. At ACC, she serves as an adjunct faculty member, instructing ETWR 1471 - Social Media Tools I: Design and Implementation.
