SDD21: We're Number 1! Let’s Keep it that Way: How You Can Support Transfer Student Success

Hours: 1

ACC was named No. 1 for transfer student success according to recent data released by The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). We want to not only hold that spot, but improve the rate at which ACC students earn a bachelor’s degree after they transfer. Preparing students for a successful transfer is a collegewide effort. Learn about transfer resources available to students, factors that lead to transfer student success, and identify how you can be a transfer champion within your role at the college.

A participant walks away with:

  • Information on resources available for students, staff and faculty that support transfer, gain an understanding of the factors that lead to transfer success, and understand how they - no matter their role at the college - can contribute to transfer student success.

Presenter(s):

Renee Esparza, Transfer Resources Director, has worked at ACC for 15 years in a variety of roles including recruiter, advisor, and adjunct faculty member. She enjoys working in the evolving world of transfer and recently completed a post-master’s certificate in Transfer Leadership and Practice from the University of North Georgia.
