SDD21: Experiential Learning at ACC

Want to enhance student engagement in your classroom? One method you might consider is by transforming your section with experiential learning. This session will introduce you to the Internship and Service-Learning programs here at ACC, as well as to the various supports each program offers.
A participant walks away with:
- A clear understanding of the benefits of experiential learning, as well as how to kick-start your course revision process to include either an internship or service-learning component.
Presenter(s):
Kathryn Naughton is the Internship Coordinator here at ACC,. In her role, she works to recruit employers for our Internship Program, ensuring that ACC students have academically relevant internship opportunities available within their area of study. Additionally, she supports faculty through professional development and internship course implementation. Sabryna Groves is the Service-Learning Coordinator. She supports service-learning faculty through professional development, recruitment support, and course revision assistance, helping to standardize best practices for Service-Learning implementation across the college.
