SDD21: Guidelines for Conducting a Survey

This workshop will provide a step by step overview of of how to construct and administer a valid and reliable survey.
Specific topics to be covered include timing of the survey, sampling, question development, administration and analysis.
A participant walks away with:

Presenter(s):
Richard Griffiths is an Institutional Research Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics (OIRA). Dr. Griffiths holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University, and has worked in institutional research and planning at Kansas State University and the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education. His present research interests include survey design, student engagement, psychosocial factors contributing to student success, and effective teaching practices. In addition to working in OIRA Dr Griffiths teaches for both the Psychology Department and Student Development, and was a NISOD award recipient for teaching excellence.
