An early alert system supports the partnership between instruction and student affairs and ensures timely notifications when students show early signs of struggle to have the support needed to make the best decisions. This workshop describes the early alert system at ACC to help support students inside and outside the classroom. In this training you will learn and be able to: • Understand the faculty process for early alert • Understand the guidance specialists’ ‘role and early alert process • Develop intervention strategies for student retention and success • Make early alert outreach a part of your common practice. • Have resources ready to send to students. The effects of early alert will be measured and analyzed for improvement over time.
