SDD20: The Code & Hearing Process
Hours: 3
ACC is committed to facilitating student learning through the conduct process. The goal is to educate students and hold them accountable for their personal decision-making and conduct. In this session, we will examine ACC's conduct policy and procedures and the essential elements of the process. This includes behaviors that violate the code both inside and outside the classroom, how to report an incident, what is due process, and appeals. In this session we will conduct a mock judicial review hearing.
A participant walks away with:
Understanding of ACC's conduct policy and process from incident to appeals.
Understanding when and how to submit an incident report.
Presenter(s):
As ACC's student conduct coordinator, Patty Zuniga monitors incoming reports, conducts case audits, and advises faculty and staff on student conduct.
