Evaluating Critical Thinking in Experiential Learning

Hours: 2

The National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE) identifies critical thinking as one of the eight core competences for career readiness. Faculty who are interested in practicing critical thinking in their classrooms are invited to attend the Office of Experiential Learning's workshop on Evaluating Critical Thinking in Experiential Learning. This interactive workshop will briefly review the literature on the relationship between experiential learning and critical thinking, then focus on generating meaningful reflective activities that can be used as artifacts in formative evaluations. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner of formative evaluation or are just curious about how to integrate critical thinking exercises into your coursework, you are encouraged to attend! Please contact Sabryna Groves, Service-Learning Program Coordinator for ACC, with any questions.
