Instructional Department Chair Summer Institute

Hours: 16

As the role of department chairs changes, the college plans to provide more support to department chairs for routine work and, in turn, ask for more strategic thinking and leadership from department chairs.

This summer 2.5 day Department Chair Institute will give all instructional department chairs the opportunity to think about the enhanced role of the department chair today, develop a plan to align responsibilities for strategic planning and leadership, and hear from colleagues around the college. The Institute will be offered three separate times to ensure that all department chairs can attend.

The times for each institute are as follows:
 Wednesday, 1 pm - 5 pm
Thursday, 9 am - 4 pm (lunch provided)
Friday, 9 am - 4 pm (lunch provided)
