SDD18: Real Time Emergency Financial Assistance for Students

ACC is participating the the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded project called the Emergency Aid Lab. As a result of ACC's participation, the emergency assistance programs currently run at the college will become more visible, serve more students and engage faculty and staff in partnership to support students who need financial assistance to meet unexpected financial emergencies in order to remain enrolled at ACC. Come learn about this important initiative and how you can become a partner in supporting our students.

A participant in this workshop will walk away with:
Information on how to help students who experience sudden financial emergencies remain enrolled at ACC.

Steve Christopher, Executive Director of Special Populations, has been working at ACC for over 23 years and has been involved in providing emergency assistance to students for 20 years. He is currently involved in redesigning ACC's student emergency assistance programs.
