GA15: Rubrics Cube: Expedite Your Grading

The purpose of this workshop is to learn how to Determine, Develop, and Deploy assignment rubrics to establish consistent grading standards, focus students on study topics, and expedite grading.
-First, adopting a consistent interface allows faculty to create and replicate assignment rubrics.
-Second, a well-designed rubric helps students focus on the key expectations.
-Third, grading becomes more automated and faster as faculty can 'check-off' as key items are evaluated.
-Last, integrating rubrics into Blackboard helps automate course grading and course replication
Bill Louden has taught at ACC for six years and is department chair of International Business. Prior to ACC, he was Area Chair for Strategy and Management at the University of Phoenix and adjunct faculty in Digital Media Management at St. Edwards University graduate program. Prior to teaching, he was a corporate executive at General Electric Company and a serial entrepreneur in the Software and Internet industries. |
