The foundation of OCRA is Quality Matters (QM). QM is a faculty-centered, peer review process designed to improve the quality of online courses. It is based on nationally recognized best practices and built on the expertise of experienced online instructors and instructional designers. This training is the first of two parts of OCRA to help ACC distance education (DE) courses to meet quality standards (QM): A. Learning to apply the Quality Matters Rubric by attending this training and B. Completion of the Course (Re)design, development, and QM Review Process with DE instructional designers. This is a synchronous training and participants must attend both days. Faculty who have already attended an OCRA / APPQMR training are not eligible to participate again.
