: The Midterm Assessment
Presenter
Denise White and La Tasha Roberts
Discussion
: Handed out the assessments for Acct 2301 & 2302 to get concerns or questions from the instructors. Concerns came from Acct 2301 mid-term assessment was questions 11, 12, 13; the complaint was the material was from the appendix, therefore, was not covered. Also students said it was hard to read the information. Propose to change presentation of those questions. Dr. Peoples proposed to the keep the questions because they are necessary to understand acct 2302. Tracie proposes to add a homework question or a lab. Check the wording to correct the possible issue. Update the currents on the End of Semester questions #14.
Voting- Add a homework, lab, or both and change the format of the questions. Recommend to review grade distribution for the homework because of adding the problem at the next Taskforce meeting. Agree to change the wording of the questions for the assessment completed by Denise White. Acct 2302 Midterm is considered final and the End of Semester is being reviewed by Cynthia. Acct 2302 End of Semester should be fewer calculations and more on concepts.
Action: Propose to take suggestions back to the committee to make changes to the End of the Semester.

Presenter
Dr. Reed Peoples
Discussion
Made changes to schedule submitted to Charles Quinn. Tracie would like to teach Acnt 1331 in the classroom in the summer 2014, possibly one of each; approved by Jay Thibodeaux. Need to request a classroom for Acnt 1331. Kimberly- Acnt 1372 needs to add a lab to the online class. Caps should be lowered in the Acnt 1347 from 30 to 24; also for Acnt 1331. Requesting to put the Acnt 1371 back to back in the Summer 2014 on Tues & Wed. Jay recommended to change Corporation Tax time to 6-10p. Mrs. Menn suggests that we make available acct 2302 to the San Marcos Fall 2014 schedule; try a day classes. Acnt 1371 cap number of seats to 24. Tracie and Jay propose to move the Acnt 1331 12wk to a classroom from online; section 14368.
