- Met with Donna Hilliard-
Scholarship Allocation- ( $9000) $3600 ( 40%) went towards the scholarship allocation funds.
-2 students were approved for scholarships.
- will have to request funds if needed for allocation funds.
Courses approved by Board.
- 12 hours ( 3 hours for Financial Accounting & Intermediate Accounting, 3 hours for Taxation Courses, 3 hours for Auditing, and 3 hours for Data Analytics& Accounting Information Systems .
- Thoughts about Acnt 1371, now considered as an upper level accounting course.
-Intermediate Accounting ( 9 hours for Financial Accounting and Reporting)
-Changes to course Titles : Acnt 1371( Fin Reporting 1) , Acnt 2303 ( Fin Reporting 2) , and Acnt 2304 ( Fin Reporting 3)
-Advising students to take the Additional Intermediate Courses, for the BAR part of the Exam.
-Acnt 1347- Changed to Fed Income Tax Business Entitites.
-Giving Students the option to take Acnt 1331 or Acnt 1374, Acnt 1374 is for students who do not plan on taking the TCP part of the exam.
-Tracie Miller- Suggestions on removing Prereq Accounting Info Systems, not needed for Data Analytics, since board is approving either , students who take Accounting Data Analytics do not need Acc Info Systems. aligns with what the board is allowing.
-Faculty( Denise White, Kelli Blount) Thoughts on why 2303& 2304 is necessary in order to pass the exam.
-No changes for Intermediate Accounting Track- Upper Division credit for Accounting
-Acnt 1374, still waiting on approval from the Board. The Qualifications Committee will approve of the course in November
Prj- Course Catalog, look at all the courses CPA, Technician, Transfer Courses., inclu name changes or prereq changes. present to Curriculum and Programs Committee.

Brief update on Mock CPA exam event (9/12)

-Light turnout, but received positive feedback from Students. Helping students to move forward.
- Event is created to help students experience testing for the CPA exam.
-Did not stay for the full 4 hours, breaking point is usually 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours. Reason ( Students haven't studied) Access to software to show their scores on the knowledge if they haven't studied and where they stand towards passing the test.
- Encourage more students to attend, another option is students can attend virtually.
- Help students be successful and become licensed CPA.
- Next event is November 13, 2024 Wednesday.

Discussion and VOTE on faculty evaluation rubric (due to Dean by 10/1)

-Reallocating the numbers at the bottom for adjuncts and Faculty.

- Spreasheet- Differ ( Adj percentages assigned to prof responsibilities) differ from from FTF and Adj,
- 40% is the min cannot go below 40%, Denise ( Instructional same for FTF and Adjuncts)

Next TF Meeting November 15th 1:00-2:30 in person and Accounting Advisory Board Meeting November 22nd.
Travel -Perkins Angelica, Small amount of money Faculty Devel Conference Registration and Travel. All Full Timers, but choice between TX Accounting Educators Conference in San Antonio or TACTYC in May at the end of the Semester one or the either, transcend everybody to one or the other.
Contact Larry to discuss, 1200 send a faculty member to a conference.
Get on TXCPA, get hotel reserved, can send 5 people. If faculty ambassador registration is free, mileage and per diem, and hotel rooms. plan out how the funds will be spent.
