Item # 1:	Call to order

Item # 2:	Review membership
Presenter
Discussion	Robert Bermea handed out and reviewed DLC functions and membership.

Item # 3:	Elect co-chair - Committee
Presenter
Discussion	Nominations were placed for DLC co-chairs. Janet Bickham nominated Al Purcell via e-mail prior to the meeting and Tina Buck nominated Scott Gibby during the meeting. A vote was taken by all those attending and so recorded. Since there wasn’t a quorum, an email will be sent out to the rest of the committee for voting. Note: Voting ended Friday Dec. 4, and the results are as follows: 17 voted for Scott, 5 for Al and 2 did not vote. Congratulations Scott.

Item # 4:	Accessibility Alternatives for online multimedia materials
Presenter	Bill Rainey
Discussion	Bill Rainey brought up the issue of close captioning multimedia for DL courses and other committee members brought up the issue of making sure ADA requirements were met. After some discussion the group felt that this item should be worked through the College Accessibility Committee and that DLC members were welcome to work with this committee on this issue.

Item # 5:	Library Services
Presenter	Leigh Kilman
Discussion	Leigh Kilman informed the committee that beginning January 2010, ACC DL students will be able to use an After Hours “Instant Service,” overnight live reference librarian IM/live chat. This pilot program provides expanded after hours library support for ACC Distance Learners as well as other ACC students. The Library and DL will get information out to the faculty, students and staff about this service.

Item # 6:	Change/new DL designations
Presenter	Robert Bermea
Discussion	OPC→DIL, PCM →ONL effective Fall ’09 Robert Bermea informed the committee about changes to DL designations. With the 2010-2011 Rollover occurring: The OPC Campus (LOC) Designation (and ROOM field) will become DIL. (Distance Learning) The Distance Learning PCM (Personal Computer Modem) designation will become ONL (Online) designation. These changes were approved by the Schedule Development Committee on October 1, 2009.

Item # 7:	Distance Learning Web pages – Faculty and Student Tools & Resources
Presenter	Robert Bermea
Discussion	Robert Bermea mentioned the following resources pages were being added to the DL website: DL Instructor Success Tools and Resources, DL Student Success Tools and Resources He also mentioned that the Distance Learning site is undergoing a revision.
