Item # 2:
GL Utility Issues
Presenter
Andrew/Jim
Discussion
Several departments are affected by the annual problem with GLBR. In many cases, departments are trying to comply with requests from auditors. The fact that Datatel has neglected to fix the GL utility, broken since Release 18, has had substantial negative impact. The GL utility not only does not create the hundreds of virtual fields for the new year, but also deletes many of the virtual fields created the previous year. A Senior Developer has spent over two weeks again this year doing the analysis and data entry to fill in the void created by the malfunctioning utility that has occurred with the fiscal year roll for the several years since we upgraded to Release 18. Andrew will notify Datatel about what should be an elementary fix on their part..
Item # 3:
Early College High School Codes
Presenter
Andrew
Discussion
Previously, Mara had created a new Restrictions code in Coltest ('AR8') for Early College High School students who need to submit documents. AR8 closely resembles 'AR7' for Early College Start students. Because Coltest had been cloned from Collive the last time, this new Restriction code got removed. Andrew has recreated AR8 in Coltest, and awaits instructions to create it in Collive. The word from A&R is that they are waiting on Sharon Frederick to give them the Online Services/Student Status verbiage.
Item # 4:
Non Employee Positions in Datatel
Presenter
Andrew
Discussion
Andrew wanted to let HR know about a Colleague screen with mnemonic NEMP. It is the ''Non-employee'' screen and it should be useful for getting those people who are outside of the student/employee/vendor sphere into Colleague. One example of this need is for the Board of Trustees to be added as ''non-employees'' in order to be able to be a part of the Student/Employee Emergency Alert system. Susan agreed to forward this screen to all of HR.

Item # 10:
Status of X-Processes & UI 4
Presenter
CORE Committee
Discussion
When pre-UI-4 interfaces were made available, a flurry of X-processes were reported as not working in UI 4. Thus, the number of problem cases increased. The number of UI X-processes requiring research, and possible conversion/re-writing is now 48.
Item # 11:
Miscellaneous
Presenter
Committee
Discussion
Several committee members reported that UI 4 was ''timing out'' repeatedly all through the previous week. However, as of the CORE meeting time at 3:00 pm on Monday, they were not experiencing the problem yet this week.
Also being reported is printing problems; specifically with Purchase Orders. This worked okay on pre-UI4 interfaces, but with UI 4, the departments are spending 15 minutes or so on each purchase order trying to add and subtract spaces in order to get the spacing aligned satisfactorily.
