UI 4.2 Reports Conversion
Presenter

Discussion
IT has made progress on identifying solutions to (a) X-processes where the process type needs to be updated to 'UI' and (b) using CPAN to convert in-line prompt UniQueries to working UT forms. This will be time-consuming due to the sheer number of processes involved, but not overly complicated and will fix a high percentage of the X-processes that do not work in UI 4.2
Keeping in mind that ACC has been a client of Datatel for over 10 years, there are literally thousands of custom processes that may require some degree of conversion or replacement. The suggestion of a June 30, 2011 cut-off from using Desktop UI strikes many on the committee as an unreasonable timeframe, and as a project plan gets developed it should become clear whether or not a June 30 deadline is possible. However, until further notice, we are approaching this with optimism as we gather information about the magnitude of the conversion project.
Entrinsik Informer is available in Live and Test -- but access is restricted to those who have completed the official training.
Andrew showed how the use of EOFM is helpful in IT's creation of ODS transforms; i.e., SQL Server tables created from UniData files. EOFM will be made available to CORE Committee members.
Informer can be used against UniData or ODS. Because of the need to convert quickly from Query Builder to Informer, it is understood that many will choose to use UniData because of the familiarity with the files and fields.
A request was made for distribution of the spreadsheet Theresa created that listed X-processes with their frequency of use. She agreed to make it available.
A key Informer training opportunity is the following day (March 8).
IT continues to work with CORE departments in identifying key processes that are not working and prioritizing the reports needing conversion.

Testing of the Retiree modifications are still being worked out. A new email type, RET, will be created as a new valcode entry as soon as this process gets approved.
Purchasing continues to struggle with access to NAE and ORGP in the UI 4.2 environment.
