Discussion: Summer 2011 eStaffing
Presenter
Committee
Discussion
Phase 1 of Summer 2011 eStaffing did not occur without a couple of hitches. Due to a systems security change that affected some automated processes, including eStaffing, some Course and Section records were created with a correct ''term id'' (35) while others were created with an incorrect ''term id'' (36). IT AppDev had to run some cleanup procedures the first couple of days to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Discussion
The MSTA application process is set to run from Friday, February 11, 2011 through Friday, February 25, 2011.
Deans/Department Chairs were notified that any changes to the lists showing departments that will be accepting MSTA applications and departments that will not be accepting MSTA applications should be forwarded to the ACCeStaffing Committee chair.
(IT Applications Development update the two lists for 2011-12 based on Dean and Department Chair response, and the updated lists were posted on Wednesday, February 9, 2011.)

Upcoming Features (including Draw Order Report)

Discussion
Kathy previewed the new ''photo class rosters'' that are now working in our ''test'' Faculty Online Services environment. IT is working through a few infrastructure, coordination, and communication pieces, but the Photo Rosters should be available for ACC faculty in the production system before too long.
Also, the Material Ordering system that works well in ACCeStaffing has a similar functionality in Faculty Online Services. This was made available as a pilot program for Human Development and Philosophy/Humanities/Religion, and the Deans will be contacted soon to see if other departments would like to be added to the list of departments using the Material Ordering system in Faculty Online Services.
Kathy demo'd the new ''look and feel'' of the ACCeStaffing version that is currently in development. Its look-and-feel is consistent with other ACC web applications developed ''in house''. The ACCeStaffing application is being converted, module by module, from an old, unsupported version of the ASP programming language to the current, supported version of the PHP programming language. IT Applications Development will be soliciting assistance from Department Chairs and Admins in developing improved functionality as the application gets renovated.
