Course Requirements

Course Description

A study of letterforms and typographic concepts as elements of graphic communication. Emphasis on developing a current, practical typographic knowledge based on industry standards. 

Course Prerequisites

ARTC 1413 or ARTC 1313 - Digital Publishing I 

Course Rationale/Objectives

Typography is a foundation course for the graphic design curriculum. This course provides students the fundamental skill to design effectively with typography for work produced in Design Communication I, II, Typographic Design, and Portfolio.
