Course Requirements
Grading Policy
You will be graded on your progress in both applied skills and in theory, as it applies to art metalwork. Your final grade will be based on the following balance between skill and theory:
1. All Work Finished …………………………………….…..............................90% -100%----A
2. All Required Presentation and Bid Materials of High Quality, some assembly, or
All Required Presentation Materials of Low Quality, but Assembly Complete ..80% -89%----B
3. Presentation and Bid Materials, Low Quality, some assembly...........................70% -79% ----C
4. Presentation or Bid Materials Uncompleted or Missing, some assembly.........60% - 69% -----D
5. All work Unfinished .........................................................................................00% - 59% -----F
The following numerical criteria apply when calculating the above percentages:
A—Excellent................. 90% - 100%.............. Grade Points 4
B—Good......................... 80% - 89%.................................... 3
C—Satisfactory............... 70% - 79%.................................... 2
D—Minimum Pass........... 60% - 69%.................................... 1
F—Fail............................. 59% - 00%.................................... 0
Within the grading calculations will be the following considerations figured on a plus or minus scale of between 1 and 5 points per item. Calculation of all points by the instructor is not necessary:

Course Subjects
Project development in an open-studio atmosphere. Individualized instruction to encourage skill combinations and experimentation. Topics include portfolio preparation and presentation. This course places emphasis towards completion of one significant piece of work. Evaluations at mid-term and final to discuss work. This course is the Capstone Experience for the A.A.S degree in Art Metals/Metal Sculpture Specialization and the Metal Sculpture Certificate. Fee: $50.00. Prerequisite: WLDG 1408. Course Type: W
