Set up course for Austin Community College for Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal to be added to the Real Estate Degree program, selected appropriate text from Dearborn, coordinating with several professors to ensure this course would overlap the lessons taught in other courses.  Course was designed to prepare students who were interested in a career in real estate sales, but was also an introductory course that would apply toward licensure by TALCB.  Assisted the college in credentialing the course through the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and TALCB; Achieved approval from TREC and TALCB as a certified instructor; Established an online course for Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal, using ACC’s unique online forum – Blackboard, engaging students to interact both with the professor and other students; Since 2002 has taught:  Principles of Real Estate I, Principles of Real Estate II, Law of Agency, Law of Contracts, Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Finance, Texas Promulgated Contracts & Forms, Real Estate Investments, Property Management and Notary Law.

Contractor on 4-month contract, worked intense schedule, completing 8-12 evaluations per day, reviewing multiple appraisals and BPO’s per property, comparing data, researching all data sources available to determine property condition, repair costs, current market conditions and trends to determine value estimates for properties owned by Fannie Mae that were at risk for foreclosure or engaged in “Short Sale” transactions.

First hired as credit card manager, responsible for assisting members with account questions, credit line increases, address changes/corrections, fraud disputes, new credit card applications, lost/stolen reports; Moved to mortgage lending when a position became available. Worked as a loan processor, assisting members with filling out loan applications, pulled credit reports, verified member employment and income, prepared recommendations for the loan officer or for credit committee meetings; specialized in home improvement loans collateralizing real estate prior to Texas change in home equity lending; facilitated the “draw” process for contractors, formalizing documentation and assisting with inspections to ensure work completed was as described in estimates provided prior to work commencement.
