2005-Present - Associate Professor of Biology, Austin Community College, Austin TX
· Serving as Department Chair of Biology since 2013
· Primarily teach Biol 2401 A&P I, Biol 2402 A&PII, Biol 1406 Cell and Molecular Biology, and Biol 1308 Fundamentals of Biology.
· Also provide instruction for the Continuing Education department – course CE 4000 Biology/Chemistry assessment test prep course
2001-2004 - Physiological Training Center Commander, Randolph AFB, San Antonio TX
· Managed all aspects of 22 different Aerospace Physiology courses and $3.5 million in training devices.
· Mentored and evaluated 23 physiological training instructors on subject knowledge and presentation skills.
· Responsible for training of over 6,000 students per year.
1990-1999 - Aerospace Physiologist/Human Factors Training Officer, various assignments
· Instructed flight surgeons, flight nurses, aviators and astronauts in all aspects of aerospace physiology including respiratory and cardiovascular effects of high altitude and systemic effects of accelerative forces.
· Prepared student assignments, demonstrations, group activities, training aids, and reference materials.
· Advised education and training staff on course curricula development and training manual preparation.
· Supervised operation of aerospace physiology training devices to include hypobaric and hyperbaric chambers, spatial disorientation simulators, human centrifuge, and technical life support systems.

· Developed lesson plans, student hand-outs, written exams, laboratory exercises and practicals.
· Taught lecture/laboratory courses in anatomy and physiology, zoology, microbiology, and general biology.
1988-1990 - Graduate Teaching Assistant, Angelo State University, San Angelo TX
· Conducted and monitored laboratory classes for anatomy and physiology, advance animal physiology and cell biology
· Maintained and set-up laboratory equipment (microscopes, oscilloscopes, respirometers, ECGs, etc) and prepared living and preserved specimens, stock solutions, and anatomical models.
1983-1987 - Academic Instructor/Curriculum Manager for Airborne Communications Career, Goodfellow AFB Technical Training Center, San Angelo TX
· Awarded USAF Master Instructor certification
· Completed resident courses in Academic Instruction, Instructional Systems Design , Test and Measurements, Technical Writing, Lesson Plans, and Objectives/Standards of Behavior.
· Served as Instructor Supervisor responsible for supervising and evaluating five other instructors,
· Developed, constructed and implemented two original formal eight week courses utilizing the ISD process in response to Air Force training requirements.
